When a system administrator creates a new user in the user management area, they must provide at least the user ID, first name, and last name, which automatically populate the user’s profile. This information is used to identify users in various parts of the application, making it easy to associate actions and discussions with specific individuals.
The user profile is extensively used in different areas of SAP Analytics Cloud, providing a seamless experience for users and enhancing collaboration:
When engaging in discussions or assigning tasks, user profiles are displayed alongside participants’ names and IDs. Hovering over a user’s picture allows initiating a one-to-one discussion with that user.
In the event and task details, the picture of the assigned user is shown. For instance, the profile of the user responsible for reviewing a task is displayed for easy identification.
In the Users area of user management, clicking on a user’s ID reveals the full user profile, containing detailed information about the individual.
