Feature Overview
SAP has added the ability to show variance as a waterfall chart in SAC. It is available for bar/column charts or a horizontal waterfall chart. Currently, vertical waterfall charts do not support the waterfall variance chart. The addition of Variance Waterfall charts provides another way to present variance values that may be more readable to the audience.
- The variance waterfall chart’s axes will match the pattern chosen for the bar chart/column chart.
- The base chart scale can be overridden to allow for a better and more eye-pleasing presentation.
- The colors of the variance can be automatically based on Account Type selection in the Edit Variance panel.
This enhancement is only available for stories using the Optimized (Unified) Story experience. It also doesn’t currently support a Dynamic Variance with Multiple Accounts.
