The Version Management Panel in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is where you manage public and private versions of your planning data. Whether you’re making changes, testing scenarios, or publishing updates, this panel gives you a central place to view, copy, edit, and control versions without leaving your story.
What You Can Do in the Version Management Panel
Once you’re inside a story connected to a planning model, the Version Management Panel lets you:
- View all available public and private versions
- Create private versions from public ones
- Switch to edit mode for the version you want to modify
- Revert changes if needed before publishing
- View the change history of a version
- Publish your changes to make them visible to others (you cannot revert or edit history after this step)
- Delete private versions you no longer need
