Activate and Deactivate Data Action Steps

Overview

SAP Analytics Cloud, which continues to enhance its data analysis capabilities with the latest QRC 1 2025 Update, introduces the ability to activate and deactivate steps within a Data Action.

This new enhancement is helpful for developers to deactivate steps to isolate steps to be tested when creating data actions. It also allows users to troubleshoot issues with tables and charts in stories.

Procedure

To access this new feature:

  1. Open the data action and select a step.
  1. Toward the top, on the right-hand side of the page, toggle the step on and off.
  1. Save the data action with this change. Now, you can run the data action, and SAC will skip all deactivated steps.
