Data Actions – Mapping Strategy “Property”

Feature Overview

You can now choose the property that is used for the mapping of identical names in the cross-model copy step. Using this functionality, you can maintain the property in the modeler and map dimensions automatically.

Previously, you needed to use an advanced formula if you wanted to map the target model dimension to the source model dimension’s property,

In the example below, Profit Center is mapped by Cost Center property, but it will use a cross-model copy step instead of Advanced Formula.

However, if more than one dimension of the target model needs to be mapped to one dimension of the source model based on properties, you will need to utilize the advanced formula, as shown below.
