What’s New in the Data Timeline?

The Data Timeline feature within the Model Data Management page has undergone significant enhancements aimed at improving job monitoring, user control, and overall performance. These updates are particularly valuable for users managing large-scale data operations or working within account-based planning models.

Key Improvements

1. Modernized UI with Improved Responsiveness

The Data Timeline UI has been refreshed with a cleaner, more intuitive layout and enhanced responsiveness. Users will notice faster load times, smoother interactions, and a more efficient workflow experience when navigating job logs and audit histories.

2. More Reliable Job Status Updates

The system now provides more accurate and timely status indicators for in-progress import and export jobs. This ensures users have better visibility into job execution stages, helping avoid confusion during long-running or queued processes.

3. Enhanced Error Handling & Feedback

If data operations are interrupted by external events, such as tenant upgrades or session timeouts – SAC now delivers clearer feedback messages, enabling users to understand the cause of interruption and take corrective actions more quickly.

4. Job Cancellation Capabilities (Account Models)

A new feature now allows users to cancel ongoing jobs or grouped job processes, specifically for account-based planning models. This is particularly useful when users identify errors mid-execution or need to abort operations due to shifting business priorities.

These enhancements significantly improve operational transparency and control in SAC. With better job tracking, cancelation options, and clearer messaging, business users and administrators can confidently manage data tasks without relying heavily on IT or support teams.
