Introduction
In SAP Analytics Cloud, add thresholds to tables and choose how to display the threshold values. You can add thresholds to measures in tables, including calculated and restricted measures.
Add a Threshold to a Table:
You can add thresholds to the table directly or by using the builder panel. To create a new threshold, select one or more table cells. Right click and select New Threshold. Provide the necessary details in the threshold section and click on Apply (refer to previous sections on how to enter values in the threshold section).
You can also add a threshold by going into the Builder panel and in the Measures section, click on the ellipses (3dots) -> Thresholds -> New Threshold. Provide the necessary details in the threshold section and click on Apply (refer to previous sections on how to enter values in the threshold section).
There are multiple options when adding thresholds as follows:
- New Threshold: You can create a new threshold by referring to the previous section.
- Show Thresholds: Shows all the valid assigned threshold values in the table cells.
- Edit Ranges: Allows you to edit the threshold ranges for the selected threshold.
- View All Thresholds: Opens the Conditional Formattingpanel to display all thresholds.
After the threshold is applied to the table, you can move the cursor over a value and the tooltip will display the range and threshold name.
Changing How Threshold Values Are Displayed:
To make it easier to find the threshold values in the table, you can change the font color or the cell background by going into the Styling panel and selecting the dropdown under Threshold Style.
- Symbol (default): Uses the story-defined symbols and colors for the threshold ranges.
- Color Values: The threshold colors are applied to cell data.
- Color Background: The threshold colors are applied to the cell background.
- Color Background Without Values: The threshold colors are applied to the cell background and the values are hidden.
On selecting any of the above, the table cells automatically change to reflect the new style choice.
Restriction
- In Classic design experience, using thresholds in tables is not supported for the new model type that includes an account dimension.
- When used in a calculated row or column (client calculation), the thresholds only apply to the selected member and hierarchy level.
