SAP Analytics Cloud New Model Now Allows for Combining Multiple Data Sources

Overview

Starting with SAC QRC2 2025, New model users can combine a primary data source with a secondary or third data source during the wrangling process of an acquired model. This option was available when building a Classic model.

There are two blending scenarios available.

  • Primary data only: Displays only the dimension data from the first model.
  • Intersecting data only: Displays only the dimension data that is common in both models.
  • Please note that merging all data from both tables is currently not an available option.

Here are two types of blending examples:

How to Add Additional Data Sources

  1. Select Combine Data in the import settings.
  1. Choose a second data source.
  1. Choose linked columns from each data source.
  2. Choose Combine Method and select Combine Data in the lower right of the window.
  1. Normal wrangling can now be done.
