Accessing Your Home Screen
After logging into SAP Analytics Cloud, your home screen will be displayed. This screen showcases a collection of cards that provide quick access to your analytics tasks, learning resources, and recent work.

The home screen features several cards designed to help you navigate SAP Analytics Cloud effectively.
Learn About SAP Analytics Cloud
This card provides access to SAP-created learning content to help you get started and develop your skills. Within this card, you’ll find Learning Journeys which offer role-specific courses and self-directed learning modules, Interactive Tutorials which provide guided examples and hands-on exercises, Video Tutorials for visual learning, and links to Help Documentation for comprehensive reference materials.
Just Ask | Powered By AI
The Just Ask card is an AI-powered feature that allows you to access quick insights about your data using natural language. Simply type your question in the search field to get immediate answers and visualizations based on your connected data sources.
Resources
The Resources card keeps you informed with helpful resources including SAP Analytics Cloud Business Content for exploring templates and sample datasets, Release Updates to learn about new features and functions, the Roadmap Explorer to prepare for upcoming updates, links to the SAP Analytics Cloud Community, Help Documentation, and Custom Widget Samples for building your own widgets and add-ons.
Quick Actions
The Quick Actions card allows you to perform common tasks directly from your home screen. You can configure up to four quick actions from available options across different SAP Analytics Cloud applications. Available actions include creating stories (Canvas, Responsive, or Composite), uploading custom widgets and widget add-ons, and creating Data Analyzer content from data sources or existing models.
Recent Files and Featured Files
The Recent Files card lists files you’ve recently accessed, with a search function to quickly find specific items. The Featured Files card displays content that administrators have highlighted for easy access across the organization.
Additional Cards
Additional cards available on your home screen include Data Change Insights which shows changes in your subscribed data over the last seven days, Calendar Highlights for scheduled events, My Metrics for tracking selected performance indicators, and Favorites for quick access to your bookmarked files and folders.
Hiding and Managing Cards
Many cards include an ellipsis menu (three dots) in their header that provides additional options.

Locate the card you want to manage on your home screen.

Click the ellipsis icon in the upper-right corner of the card.

Select Hide to remove the card from view, or choose from available filter options to customize what the card displays.
Configuring Quick Actions
To add quick actions to your home screen:

Click Add Quick Actions on the Quick Actions card.

In the Edit Quick Actions dialog, browse the available actions organized by category (Stories, Data Analyzer, etc.).

Select up to four actions by checking the boxes next to your preferred items.

Click OK to save your selections.
Accessing Home Screen Settings
To access settings for your home screen and personal preferences:

Click the Customize button located in the upper-right corner of the home screen header.

The Settings panel will open, providing access to User Account settings, Appearance options, Home Screen configuration, Language and Region preferences, Application settings, and Notifications.
Changing Your Theme
To change the visual appearance of SAP Analytics Cloud:

Click the Customize button in the upper-right corner of the home screen.

Select Appearance from the Settings menu.

Choose from available themes, including SAP Belize, SAP Horizon variants (Morning Horizon for light mode, Evening Horizon for dark mode), Automatic (which follows your operating system settings), or High Contrast options for accessibility.
Home Screen Tabs
The home screen includes several tabs for organizing your content.
Today: the default view displays your configured cards.
Catalog: provides access to published content displayed as cards.
Favorites: lists resources you have marked as favorites.
Shared With Me: shows resources that other users have shared with you.
Setting a Default Tab
To choose which tab is displayed by default when you open the Home page:

Click the Customize button in the upper-right corner.

Select Home Screen from the Settings menu.

Choose your preferred tab from the Default Tab options.
